Por Favor Mantengase Alejado De Las Puertas!

My FAVORITE part about getting to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, The Grand Floridian Resort, The Contemporary Resort, or The Polynesian Resort......... is the monorail ride. Because I grew up in Disney (hehe) I have been able to recite the monorail's closing doors script since I was 5. In January, before I made a trip to Disney World for Valentine's Day with my Goddaughter and my best friend, I found out that they actually put the spanish script on a t-shirt! It was something I needed in my life, and it's been a lovely addition to my wardrobe. This is what it looks like!!!
Please stand clear of the doors... Por favor mantengase alejado de las puertas!
My SECOND FAVORITE part about arriving at the Magic Kingdom is locating our FAMILY STONE just before the turnstiles =) I AM, have been, and always will be PART OF THE LEGACY!

I've added a music playlist to my blogging page... the first one says it all (monorail, duh!). Second is the Wishes Fireworks show in Magic Kingdom. Third, fourth, and fifth are the Disneyland Sing-A-Long Songs I watched when I was little like it was my religion. Lastly is the Bibbidy Bobbidy Bo song, which I put because that's my role!!!!

However, it is now 8:50ishpm and True Blood Season 4 premieres in 10 MINUTES!!!!! So, on that note, have a magical night =) bye ya'll!

50 DAYS UNTIL CHECK-IN!!!

YUUUP, that's right! Tomorrow begins the countdown into the 40's!!!! I'm so excited I can barely contain myself!!! Yesterday I spent the ENTIRE day running errands in the rain. From donating clothes at Platos Closet and Goodwill while in the rain, to running to the mall with my sister to pick out "Disney Look" clothing (black slacks, and button down shirts for the most part)! I can finally pack it all away in my GIANT Ziploc carrying bags that have kept my sanity while packing! I can't wait for it to be July because the rest of my countdown is going to fly by! In July I will be getting my new laptop, flying to Texas to see my best friend and goddaughter for a week, and then about a week after I am back home, I move to Orlando! My 3 other roomates and I have started a group on FB for us to keep in contact with each other on what we can all bring. They're so awesome and I can't wait to meet them! Alright, onto more sorting and packing! Seriously having the time of my life! =)

Spoonful of Sugar Helps the Medicine Go Down!

Well, my Sweet & Sassy days are over now... 3 years of being an absolutely amazing receptionist, working hard, picking up extra hours, and also covering services here and there for makeup, hair, and nails. I will absolutely miss it, but I am so happy that my role in Disney is very similar to that of my job! Now that I'm not working, I am nannying, and unfortunately, I've picked up a virus between both of my jobs! I headed to the doctors this morning to get checked out and while I was there, my lovely momma had me tell the doc to do an allergy test on me through her company, LabCorp. This was a blood test which drew 2 tubes of blood! On the first tube, the nurse said to me, "let me know if you start feeling dizzy." Once she totally finished the second tube, I was like, "The room is turning white and I can't hear anything" All of a sudden, 2 more nurses were in front of me laying me on the floor hahahaha I was so embarrassed, but they said it happens all the time!

Now I'm just taking medicine and resting =) Momma brought home Miso Soup to make it up to me, that bugger! SO, no nannying for the next few days... and on Sunday I get to see my daddio for Father's Day! I got him some GREAT stuff, which I cant post here because he reads my blogs hahaha =) But I will post pictures afterwards!

Growing Up Disney

I don't think you will find many people who were practically raised at Disney. My first trip was at 6 months old and it makes my Dad cry just remembering my first trip. Everyone told him, "don't take her, she's an infant! She won't remember any of it!" My parents took me anyways =) On a video tape somewhere in my house are clips of me in the park throughout the day.. one of which I am inside a tent in Toontown where they had a live show with Mickey Mouse and friends. I bounced up and down in total awe of what I was seeing. My dad was crying. Anyways, everything my whole life has been Disney. When my parents divorced when I was 6, Mickey became the best baby sitter every other weekend. Our family has held yearly passes and has stayed at every major Disney Resort on and off property. To tell you that being part of the Disney College Program and finally being able to be part of the magic and start a career with the Disney Company is a complete understatement. I am so thrilled for this chapter of my life and I can't wait to begin in 61 days! Here are some pictures (out of thousands) of me Growing Up Disney! Enjoy!

ROOMATE MATCHING!

The Disney College Program has FINALLY opened the Fall Program Cast Members to find a roomate match through their system!!! So here's how it happens:

-Login to your Disney "Account" (you can't do this if you haven't been sent an invitation to be part of the Disney College Program)
-Click on "HOUSING", and then in the upper right corner click on "Apartment and Roomate Placement"
-It will give you all the steps you need to complete the selection and then it will give you 2 options.
  • Randomly select a roomate for me
  • I know who I want to room with
For me, I clicked "I know who I want to room with" because I've already got mine--- and she's awesome!!!! Once you click the option that you need it will bring you to another page where it will ask you for your roomate's applicant number. This number can be found in your email from Disney that states your acceptance into the program as well as your role and pay (it will be at the bottom of the email)!

Your roomate will then need to login to the same Roomate Matching System and ACCEPT or DENY (lol) the request that you sent to be matched with them!

If something happens, you can cancel the match by logging back in and following the steps to do so!

For now, I am set with my roomate.. and my other two roomates have also done it =) I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disney Collegiate Course & Countdown!

That's right... June 1st marked 70 days left until I move to Orlando and begin my long anticipated career with the Walt Disney World Company! June 1st also marks 11 days until my little man Jayden's birthday, 29 days until my little brother (by heart) Liam's birthday, 50 days until I see my second family in Texas, 57 days until my mommy's birthday, anaaaandddd then of course 70 days until CHECK IN!!! =)

Today I registered for my Disney Collegiate Course, which, YES counts towards my degree at the college I attend! I am registered for Advanced Studies In Hospitality Management! It cost my $10, will run from September through December, and will be about 3-4 hours long once a week! Some positives about their college courses (aside from the fact that you get to network yourself and have the experience on your resume), but (some) of the courses that you take can actually apply as credit towards your degree, like me! I'm earning 3 credits for the class I've registered for. PLUS, the actual Disney College Program counts for 6 credits, and then I am taking one additional class outside of Disney which also counts for 3 credits. This means (drumroll....) I AM A FULL TIME STUDENT WITH TECHNICALLY ONLY 2 COURSES! What a MAGICAL deal!!!! Another nifty thing about it is that if there is a peak week in the parks, class is cancelled and you are scheduled to work... I think that's pretty cool. When registering, they also ask if you will be taking any outside courses either online or at a campus, but they ask you nothing further. In addition to this, if you are taking another outside course, you MUST BRING PROOF! This means, payment receipt, schedule, and maybe a few more things.

Anyyyyyways, in addition to all of that lovely news, I have taken up nannying for a family friend. She's helped raise my sister and I, so I am now returning the favor with her and her 5 and 2 year old. I am literally living in their home during the week to help with the kiddos, I go to work the days I'm scheduled at Sweet & Sassy, and on the weekends I go home. It's hard to go from 21 with no kids to 2 overnight lol but hey, I've always been the kind of girl to help where it's needed-- especially if someone can make a commitment that they need my help as well. So here's a funny sidenote.... I'm sleeping in the 5 year olds room. EVERYTHING is Disney Princesses. Her bedboard says "Once upon a time there was a princess", there is a huge castle decal on her wall, princesses everywhere, and tons of pixie dust in little jars! It's SO cute and I feel at home. I even used some of her Cinderella costume pieces to dress myself up one day while she was at school...shhh! =)

To say the least, I am still counting down the days. Thank goodness for being a nanny and working; they're making everything fly by!
